MJCHT Fatwa Department responded to a request from Hafez Moorad Booley for a fatwa on the halal status of Balsamic vinegar produced from wine as a base product. The views of Imam Shafi, Imam Abu Hanifa and Imam Malick (May Allah be pleased with them) was used to determine the status. The Fatwa (March 2007) was issued by the late Mlna Yusuf Karaan (May Allah be pleased with Him).
