South African Halaal bodies are making their mark at the Global Halaal Summit 2023 in Malaysia. Hosted by the Malaysia Department of Islamic Affairs, called Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM), the event unites prestigious organizations like the MJC Halaal Trust, National Independent Halaal Trust, and South African National Halaal Authority. This international platform allows Halaal certifying bodies from 47 countries to connect, share knowledge, and address industry challenges. Speakers at the summit emphasize the role of technology in enhancing the Halaal experience. The summit reaffirms South Africa’s position as a key player in the global Halaal industry, fostering growth and development. The summit will conclude on September 12, 2023.
